Coastal Awareness Week (CAW) 2017 was celebrated from March 20th to 25th 2017 under the theme “Business and the Environment: A foundation for Sustainable Growth”. The purpose of the week of events was to i) Highlight the need for synergy among Belize’s economic, environmental and social development; and ii) Increase public awareness on sustainable business and development practices in various sectors. In an effort to share this information to the public in a manner that was both thought-provoking and easy to understand, the CZMAI hosted six major activities spread across six days. The events were a huge success and garnered support from both the public and private sectors. Most notably we would like to acknowledge the tremendous support from our main sponsors; The Inter-American Development Bank, Protected Areas Conservation Trust and World Wildlife Foundation.
