TERMS OF USE
This is an Agreement between you and Coastal Zone Management Authority and Institute (“CZMAI”) of Belize. Please read CZMAI’s Terms of Use, Product/Service Delivery Policy, Return and Refund Policy, Privacy Policy, and any other applicable policies and terms available at the CZMAI website, or through the CZMAI Sport Fishing License E-portal before accessing and using CZMAI’s Service.
By using CZMAI’s Service, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. If you do not accept the terms of this Agreement, then unfortunately access will be denied for the use of CZMAI’s Service. It is understood that your use of CZMAI’s Service is subject to any additional rules, policies, and terms that apply to those Service.
a. Definitions. For the purpose of the Terms of Use for CZMAI’s Service:
- Coastal Zone Management Authority and Institute (referred to as either “CZMAI” “We”, “Us” or “Our” in this Agreement) refers to a statutory body duly incorporated under the Coastal Zone Management Act, Chapter 329 of the Laws of Belize, Revised Edition 2000 whose office is located at the Coastal Zone Multi-Complex Building, Third Floor, Princess Margaret Drive, Belize City, Belize.
- You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.
- Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
- Service refers to the CZMAI Website and CZMAI Sport Fishing License E-Portal
- Website refers to the website of Coastal Zone Management Authority and Institute, accessible from https://www.coastalzonebelize.org/
- CZMAI Sport Fishing E-Portal refers to an online platform for the sale and distribution of sport fishing licenses legally required to engage in sport fishing activities in Belizean waters pursuant to the Coastal Zone Management (Sport Fishing) Regulations, 2009 of Belize, accessible from https://apps.coastalzonebelize.org/
b. Changes/Amendments to Terms of Use and Service. CZMAI may change, suspend, or discontinue the Service, or any part of them, at any time without notice. We may amend any of this Agreement’s terms on a periodic basis, and at our sole discretion. The revised terms of use will be posted on the CZMAI website. Your continued use of CZMAI’s Service after the effective date of the revised Agreement constitutes your acceptance of the terms.
c. Termination. Failure to comply with any of the terms under this Agreement may result in the automatic termination of your use and access of CZMAI’s Service.
d. Disputes. Any dispute or claim arising from or relating to this Agreement, is subject to the dispute resolution, governing law, disclaimer of warranties, limitation of liability, and all other terms in the Terms of Use.
e. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability. Except as expressly set forth in this Agreement, CZMAI makes no warranty of any kind, expressed or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, in connection with the services provided to you under this Agreement. We do not and cannot warrant that Services will operate without errors, or that any or all services will be available and operational at all times. Except as specifically provided in this Agreement, or otherwise required by law, you agree that CZMAI’s directors, officers, employees, agents or contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages under or by reason of any services provided under this Agreement or by reason of your use of or access to its services, including loss of profits, revenue, data or use by you or any third party, whether in an action in contract or tort or based on a warranty. Further, in no event shall the liability of CZMAI and its affiliates exceed the amounts paid by you through the CZMAI Sport Fishing License E-Portal.

PRODUCT/SERVICE DELIVERY POLICY
All orders for sport fishing licenses are processed almost immediately provided that all required information is submitted and the payment method is valid. Once your order has been approved, you will receive an automated confirmation e-mail and a copy of the license ordered in Portable Document Format (PDF). Orders are processed at any given time of the day.
What can I do if I do not receive my license from the portal?
If you do not receive your confirmation e-mail and license in PDF format within 5 minutes after your order has been placed, it could mean either your order request was unsuccessful. You may contact our support team to track and ascertain the status of your order. Changes to this Product/Service Delivery PolicyCZMAI may update its Product/Service Delivery Policy periodically. We will notify you of any changes by posting the updates to the Privacy Policy on this page. CZMAI may use electronic mail and/or a pop-up notice on its website to announce any updates/changes in policy and obtain consent to the changes.
RETURN & REFUND POLICY
All sales of sport fishing licenses via this portal are final and cannot be returned/exchanged.
Request for refunds made seven (7) days or less after the online purchase with submission of proof of Coastal Zone Management Authority and Institute (CZMAI) Sport Fishing License Portal failure will receive a 100% refund. Request for refunds made later than 14 days after the online purchase of a Sport Fishing License will NOT be refunded. Requests for refunds can be submitted to marketingassistant@coastalzonebelize.org. Once your refund request is successful, you will be notified via e-mail.
The refund amount received is subject to the currency exchange rate and applicable bank fees at the time of the refund. Depending on your credit card issuer’s policies, it may take up to 10 business days after CZMAI approves your refund to be credited to your account.

PRIVACY POLICY
Your privacy is very important to us, and we take every precaution to protect the information you provide to us. This Privacy Policy describes and outlines the information is collected, how it is used and processed through CZMAI’s website, as well as your privacy rights.
Collection of Your Personal Data
While using our Service, CZMAI may ask you to provide certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:
- First name and Last name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Address, State, Province, ZIP/Postal code, City
- Intended address and duration of stay in Belize
- Intended location and timeline to engage in sport fishing activities in Belizean waters
- Credit Card Information
Use of Your Personal Data
Your Personal Data will be used for the following purposes:
- To provide and maintain our service, including to monitor the usage of our Service. We may use your information for purposes, such as data analysis, identifying usage trends, determining the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns and to evaluate and improve our service, product delivery, customer service, marketing and your experience
- For the purpose of conducting a sale/business transaction, specifically for the processing of a request for the sale of sport fishing licenses
- To contact You via by electronic mail or telephone calls for any necessary follow up
- To provide You with news/updates, special offers and general information
CZMAI is legally required to share your personal information under the following circumstance:
- Pursuant to the Coastal Zone Management (Sport Fishing) Regulations, 2009 of Belize, CZMAI is required to maintain a record of all sport fishing licenses sold and distributed, and such records shall be made available for inspection as required by the Minister or any other legally authorized maritime agency of Belize. Personal data to be disclosed will exclude payment information (i.e. credit card information)
Retention of Your Personal Data
The Company will retain Your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use Your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations in line with applicable laws, resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.
Security of Your Personal Data
The security and protection of your Personal Data is important to CZMAI. As such, CZMAI will take all steps necessary and reasonable to ensure that your data is treated securely and protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Disclaimer: No method of transmission of information over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While CZMAI will strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Children’s Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian of a child under the age of 18, and you are aware that your child may have provided us with personal Data, please contact us immediately. If CZMAI becomes aware that it has collected personal data from anyone under the age of 18 without verification of parental consent, CZMAI will take necessary steps to remove that information from its servers.
